Workshops offer an opportunity for learning valuable skills which help to prevent unwanted stress responses and tackle stressful events.
Depending on requirement, half day, one day or two day workshops can be delivered. I prefer to work in groups of up to six people.
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) for emotional health & well being This is a weekend (two day) workshop Dates for 2010 MAY 29th/30th JUNE 26th/27th SEPTEMBER 25th/26th OCTOBER date to be announced NOVEMBER date to be announced
The main focus of this introductory workshop will be to teach the fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Clinical Hypnotherapy. In particular we will consider one form of CBT called Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT). The workshop is designed so that participants (6 maximum) can consider their own emotional thoughts, feelings, behaviours and symptoms and how these can be improved by what is learnt during the two day workshop.
The underpinning philosophy of both therapies emphasise a self help approach. When CBT is combined with clinical hypnosis it becomes a powerful and effective treatment for many conditions.
We will look at unhealthy and healthy negative emotions, why one is static and the other more fluid and flexible and how we can move from unhealthy to healthy before change ensues. The principal idea of CBT is that it is possible to choose the types of emotions we have - we can influence how we feel.
Time will be spent discussing the uses of self hypnosis which will also be taught and practiced during the weekend.
Please note this workshop is suitable for those:
- with a general interest or curiosity in CBT and Clinical Hypnotherapy
- who would like to know more about the CBT philosophy of emotional well being
- who may be interested in individual cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy sessions
- who may like to receive further formal training
